It has a 20 quart mix hopper which is refrigerated to maintain a mix below 41 degrees F (5 degrees C) in automatic stand by mode
It also has mix flow indicator light which alerts the operator when it is time to add more mix, when this flashes, the unit automatically shuts down into stand by mode to prevent damage.During long non use periods, the standby feature maintains a safe product temperature in the mix hopper and freezing cylinder.
